Southern Wire recognises the work of Jim Voyce from J&N Rural Fencing this season. Jim works with teams of up to 4 to support the agriculture around the town of Gulnare in South Australia.
J&N’s work is varied, covering national parks, installing sheepyards and securing airstrips. Jim has been in the business for over 15 years, and has seen a lot. Most recently he and his team have been working to repair the damage caused by the Pinery Bushfires. These fires, caused significant damage to rural produce when 86,000 hectares were burned. Up to $40 million worth of fodder and unharvested grains were destroyed in the windy conditions.
Whether replacing damaged fencing or installing new ones, Jim uses and recommends the Fastlock fencing as a cost effective solution for landowners. He says “Fastlock is a good wire to work with and reasonably priced.” When dogs, kangaroos and other vermin are problematic, Jim recommends Griplock for added strength and protection.
“I have been using Southern Wire since 2003. I like to promote it because they make a quality product and they are quite good to deal with”. Jim gets along well with Matt Dowell, the SA Regional Manager, saying “He will always find out where I’m at when he’s in the area and nothing is too much trouble.”
We’ve sent J&N Rural Fencing a Weber BBQ in recognition of the excellent work they’re out doing!
