Rapid Stay

Suitable for both wooden and steel strainer posts.

The Southern Wire Rapid Stay Assembly is designed to suit both steel and wooden strainer.

Included in the easy-to-install assembly is a 40mmNB MED Wall (3.2mm) galvanised pipe stay, M12 threaded rod and a 6mm galvanised steel footplate (320mm x 250mm) which cuts 20mm into the ground to provide a firm footing. There is provision to drive star pickets (not included) through the footplate to prevent movement in sandy soils.

In fire-prone areas, the use of galvanised steel components such as the Rapid Stay Assembly offers a significant advantage, as steel elements are non-combustible and often remain serviceable after fire exposure.

The 80mm NB medium wall steel strainer post to suit the Rapid Stay Assembly features pre-drilled holes for threaded rod tie-backs and welded lugs to drive angled star pickets for increased stability, making it a robust, fire-resilient choice for long-term fencing infrastructure.
